The layered creation will be headlining at participating grocery stores starting on September 30th, 2016.

Brothers Michael and Martin Givens, are commemorating thirty years of making Canadian celebrations remarkable with a carefully created Greatest Hits Cake, highlighting La Rocca’s fan-favourites in one layered delicious dessert.

Those familiar with La Rocca’s classic hits from the past three decades will delight in the commemorative compilation and its ultimate tastes of sweet nostalgia, with decadent sponge cake hand-layered between the bakery’s famous white and dark chocolate truffles. Subtle tracks of almond meringue and an encore of cream cheese icing make The Greatest Hits Cake a sensory masterpiece. The grand finale is a topping of vanilla-flavoured ‘edible pearls’, an elegant gift to thirty years of loyal cake aficionados.

“The essence of tradition is a main ingredient in La Rocca as a company. We have had the opportunity to celebrate our family’s passion for inspired desserts and recipes in Canada by opening our first bakery here thirty years ago”, shares Michael Givens, President of La Rocca. “To honour the story of our beginnings and the many milestones between then and now, we wanted to design a special cake for our thirtieth celebration. Staying in tune with its ‘better-baking’ roots, La Rocca sources ingredients such as eggs, flour and cream from local Canadian farms, and its chocolate and toppings from top tier vendors across the globe. Additionally, all of La Rocca’s cakes are baked and decorated in small batches to ensure each dessert that leaves the bakery is top quality.

The Greatest Hits Cake was designed to be open-sided to showcase the colours and textures of La Rocca’s classics and brings the perfect tune for turning up celebrations, amping up gatherings, or keeping it classic and will be available through the Christmas 2016 holiday season.
