Turkish Airlines Launches Flights in Montreal

As a means of celebrating and promoting the launch of flights between Montreal and Istanbul, Turkish Airlines Canada partnered with Aréoports de Montréal to launch an online contest where Canadians could enter to win the Ultimate VIP Flight Experience, a Business Class trip for two to Istanbul. Contestants were directed to a specially developed contest microsite (www.tkmontreal.com) where they could learn all about the VIP flight experience from the moment they arrive at the airport in Montreal to the time of their departure flight, waiting in the famous Turkish Airlines CIP Lounge at the Ataturk Airport in Istanbul.

Canadians were asked to nominate their VIP for the opportunity to win. The contest was promoted via online methods only. Charming Media was responsible for the promotions of the campaign as well as overseeing all online aspects involved in generating entries including influencer outreach, a Twitter chat that resulted in the trending of both the #TKMontreal and #Istanbul hashtags in Canada, Facebook ads, online banners and SEO.

The campaign resulted in a total of 16,720 entries and was a massive success in generating awareness for the new flight path of Turkish Airlines between Montreal and Istanbul.
