KANIA Announces First Runway Show at World MasterCard® Fashion Week
Broadway Dancer Makes the Leap From the Stage to the Runway

| Those three words sum up KANIA, Canada’s Luxury Sweatshirt Line that is set to debut on the runway at World MasterCard® Fashion Week on March 26th at 4pm.Inspired by the demands of her career as a professional dancer on Broadway, in Hollywood films and commercials, Ottawa-based designer Stacey Bafi-Yeboa launched KANIA in 2003. Since then, the comfortable yet luxurious collections of the label have reflected Bafi-Yeboa’s personal mission to help women exude their own personal radiance.Ongoing success through a national presence at The One of a Kind Show in Toronto (March 25 to 29) and Signature’s Shows have also resulted in Bafi-Yeboa participating in The Mercedes-Benz Start-Up Competition in 2014.“My experience in the Mercedes-Benz Start-Up Competition was such an integral part of my career as a Canadian designer. Participating in the competition further confirmed that amongst the avant-garde style gowns and high-fashion lines, KANIA offers something truly unique to the Canadian fashion industry. | All KANIA pieces are designed at the KANIA studio boutique located in the heart of Ottawa’s Byward Market and manufactured within Canada. Each design is made from custom-spun, custom-dyed pre-washed cotton spandex fabric for maximum comfort with a luxurious feel. All items are machine washable to suit the busy and diverse lifestyles of Canadian woman.As part of the brand’s mission, a portion of all KANIA yearly sales are donated to a select charity in an effort to “spread the light”.The KANIA World MasterCard® Fashion Week Runway Show will be held in the studio at David Pecaut Square on March 26th at 4 pm.Please follow KANIA at:
