“The Urban Jetsetter” – Blending Work with Play
Rachel Sin to present FW14 and SS15 at World MasterCard Fashion Week
For Immediate Release: Toronto, October 8, 2014 – On Wednesday, October 22nd at 7:00pm, Canadian fashion designer Rachel Sin will be returning for her second show at World MasterCard Fashion Week on the Main Runway at David Pecaut Square. Sin will make a bold runway move by unveiling both Fall-Winter 2014 and Spring-Summer 2015 collections in one show.
“As Fashion Week in Toronto continues to move away from being a buyer-targeted event and more towards a celebration of Canadian talent, we wanted to engage the public with what is both current and trending, as well as provide options that allow them to shop readily available looks. This concept fits well with our pieces, as we have always followed a ready-to-wear aesthetic. ”, Sin says of her decision.
Show attendees will be treated to clothes designed for The Urban Jetsetter; a woman who lives in the city, travels for work and knows how to mix business with pleasure. The Urban Jetsetter theme surrounds a woman who is always on the go, with a career that is an extension of her life. She’s technology-savvy and seamlessly blending work and play, hopping on a plane for a meeting abroad then staying a few extra days to soak up the city and culture.
As a savvy traveller, the key pieces in the Urban Jetsetter’s wardrobe are versatile items that can easily transition from day-to-night, from a ponte suit to a jersey dress.
The #RSWORK / FW14 collection is for the City Jetsetter featuring a sculpted silhouette that is sharp and on point. She commands attention in Oxblood, Cobalt Blue and graphic knit.
The #RSPLAY / SS15 collection is for the Exotic Jetsetter featuring a silhouette that is airy and flowing. She stands out in Aqua, Yellow and floral print. The collection is unsurprisingly wearable with jersey, chambray, scuba and ponte fabric that travels well in any suitcase.
