Turkish Airlines Canada Expands Business Class Product in Toronto Market

Toronto, April 25th 2016 – Turkish Airlines Canada is pleased to announce the official expansion of its Business Class seats on all flights between Toronto and Istanbul. The expansion will involve the removal of Comfort Class seats in a measure to meet the market’s increasing demand for Turkish Airlines’ award-winning Business Class product.
The increase of Business Class seats in Toronto follows the airline’s global focus towards enhanced options for Business Class fliers to enjoy the world-class flight experience. Business Class seat capacity has been increased from 28 to 49, a 75% increase on each Boeing 777 flying between Toronto and Istanbul. Turkish Airlines’renowned Business Class features notable elements and a unique opportunity to delight in “Turkish Hospitality” above the clouds.

During the 9-10 hour flight between Toronto and Istanbul, Business Class passengers can indulge in innovative, restaurant-quality service and a candle light dinner served by Turkish Airlines’ signature “Flying Chefs” presented in porcelain dishes and appropriate glassware.
Business Class seats measure 75 inches when fully reclined for a comfortable sleeping experience and passengers have access to an on-board power receptacle, a reading light and deployable privacy screens. Turkish Airlines provides various entertainment options for passengers, which include more than 850 music albums and audio books, 340 movies, and 460 different television programs to watch. These include kids movies and even live television. Furthermore, Business Class passengers have access to the award-winning CIP Lounge at the Istanbul Atatürk Airport. Additionally all Miles & Smiles Elite, Elite Plus members (they may invite their families or one guest), Star Alliance Gold Card Members (they may invite one guest ), First and Business Class travellers on flights operated by Star Alliance member airlines are eligible to use our lounges.
Turkish Airlines officially launched direct flights between Toronto and Istanbul in 2009. As of 2016, there are 6 direct flights operating from Toronto each week.
